Full-Time Nurse Practitioner - Skilled Nursing Facility
About The Position
Serve as a primary care provider for geriatric patients in a skilled nursing facility in St. Louis, Missouri. The role includes planning, directing, and evaluating medical care; examining and treating chronic and urgent illnesses; ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic tests; collaborating with caregivers and other healthcare professionals; working with the interdisciplinary care team; and making referrals as needed. The practice uses an EHR on a mobile-based platform, with team members assisting providers with scheduling, orders, and referrals. Providers share low-volume, phone-triage on-call responsibilities. On-call duty is no more than three nights per month, with flexibility offered.
Requirements
- Missouri nurse practitioner license.
- DEA registration.
- At least one year of advanced practice experience.
- At least one year of experience in a relevant setting.
Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and evaluate medical care.
- Examine and treat chronic illnesses.
- Examine and treat urgent illnesses.
- Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic testing.
- Collaborate with caregivers and other healthcare professionals.
- Work closely with the interdisciplinary care team.
- Make referrals as necessary.
- Share low-volume phone-triage on-call responsibilities, no more than three nights per month.
