Full-Time Nurse Practitioner - Skilled Nursing Facility
About The Position
The Nurse Practitioner serves as a primary care provider for geriatric patients in a skilled nursing facility in Kinston, North Carolina. The role includes planning, directing, and evaluating medical care; assessing and treating chronic and urgent illnesses; ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic tests; collaborating with caregivers and other healthcare professionals; working with the interdisciplinary care team; and making referrals as needed. The practice uses an EHR on a mobile-based platform. Team members assist providers with scheduling, orders, and referrals. Providers share low-volume, phone-triage on-call responsibilities, with no more than three nights of call per month and flexibility offered.
Requirements
- North Carolina Nurse Practitioner license.
- DEA registration.
- At least one year of advanced practice experience.
- At least one year of experience in a relevant setting.
Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and evaluate medical care.
