About The Position
We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner to join our medical practice part time in South Miami, FL. We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner with Ortho or Rheumatology experience in the area that wants to work part time only, 1 day per week, with the potential to increase hours as patient census warrants. Clinic hours will be split between scheduled times for seeing typical rheumatology patients, and other scheduled times for treating knee osteoarthritis patients with viscosupplementation (hyaluronic acid). Our multidisciplinary approach with personalized treatment plans works to help restore our patient’s mobility and improve the quality of their life. We have a dedicated team of internal medicine physicians, nurse practitioners, physical therapists, and chiropractors who collaborate to provide a comprehensive approach to our patient’s health and wellness needs.
Requirements
- Nurse practitioner with Ortho/Rheumatology experience
- NP license to practice in FL
- Large joint injection experience, especially for viscosupplementation (hyaluronic acid) under fluoroscopic guidance (C-arm) preferred
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to provide compassionate care and support to patients dealing with chronic pain and disability.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat patients with rheumatic diseases, such as arthritis, lupus, and fibromyalgia and OA
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Conduct physical examinations and order diagnostic tests, such as blood tests and imaging studies.
- Perform joint injections (knee) and aspirations under C-arm fluoroscopic guidance.
- Provide patient education on managing symptoms, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence.
- Prescribe DME bracing for knees, low back and wrists as medically needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment strategies.
