We are looking for a new team member to join a busy community practice that specializes in comprehensive, general pediatric care. We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner that aligns with our values of evidence-based medicine, compassionate quality care, and workplace collaboration. As a Nurse Practitioner, you’ll be an integral member of a forward-thinking clinical team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and service in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with medical instruments and equipment required to perform your work.
  • Knowledge of computer-based data management programs and information systems, as well as medical records and point-of-interview technology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare workers, and collaborate with team members
  • Must be able to think critically, evaluate various options to treat a condition and then identify the one he or she decides will have the best outcome.
  • Maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced yet friendly environment
  • Must be well organized and detail-oriented; demonstrating leadership to maintain credibility
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion concerning health service records and information
  • Board Certified Advanced Practice Nurse licensure required
  • Graduate degree from an accredited nursing program, such as a Master of Science in nursing

Responsibilities

  • Performing physical examinations of patients to evaluate health and diagnose illnesses
  • Administering and performing diagnostic tests, such as x-rays and laboratory tests
  • Creating patient care plans and contributing to existing ones.
  • Detecting changes in patients' health and modifying treatment plans, as needed.
  • Educating and counseling patients and families on presenting health problems, treatment plans, and home care
  • Facilitating the patient’s transition within and between health care settings, e.g., admitting, transferring, and discharging patients.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals.
  • Planning and managing patient care according to the patient’s needs
