About The Position

Helio Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their Inpatient Program on a Full-Time basis. The NP will be responsible for providing medical and psychiatric evaluations, ordering lab work and diagnostic testing, and assessing patients' level of care needs for substance use and mental health disorders. This role operates under the supervision of the program's Service Director and Executive Medical Director. The position offers a pay rate of $65.00-$82.00 per hour and a sign-on incentive of up to $8,000 for full-time NPs, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

• Must be a Nurse Practitioner licensed and currently registered by the New York State Education Department.
• At least one year of experience in the treatment of mental health and substance use disorders.
• Have prescriptive authority and DEA number.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including medical examination and monitoring, psychiatric consultation, implementation of medical orders, and treatment of psychiatric conditions.
• On-call responsibilities required.
• Serve on special review and quality assurance committees as assigned.
• Provide and document medical and psychiatric consultation, assessment, examination, treatment planning and review consistent with agency policy and requirements.
• Other related assignments and duties consistent with training and experience.
