About The Position

Our Nurse Practitioner role at an Allina Health Clinic presents an opportunity to participate in a solid team environment resulting in the ultimate patient care experience. As a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, you will encounter an array of specialties to support your patients in their healthcare journey. Our Primary Care providers partner with our Mental Health service line and the Penny George Institute for Health and Healing to provide whole person care in the clinic setting. The Hastings clinic is searching for a Nurse Practitioner to join its team. Here you will be part of a 38 member team including the service lines specialties of Medical imaging, Eye Care, mental health, and women's health, yet able to access the full spectrum of specialty care across the Allina Health system. This is an outpatient practice providing care to all ages, including growing families. Clinic hours are Monday: 8am-5pm, Tuesday-Wednesday: 8am-7pm, Thursday: 8am-5pm, Friday: 8am-4:30pm, Saturday-Sunday: 8am-4pm (walk in care). The EMR system used is Excellian. Hastings is described as a scenic river town steeped in tradition, featuring the rugged and colorful scenery of the Mississippi, St. Croix, and Vermillion Rivers, many historic buildings, a mix of shopping facilities, restaurants, and industry & community festivities. The city's charming downtown is an interesting collection of restaurants, shops, and third-generation stores. Within the city limits are 8 city parks, 14 neighborhood parks, and boat access ramps. Two ski slopes and six golf courses are nearby. The neighborhoods feature a blend of large, quaint, older homes complemented by newer housing that lends a suburban influence.

Requirements

  • Master's degree - Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire
  • Certified Nurse Practitioner - American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification within specialty required upon hire
  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner required
  • BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support - Multisource required within 180 Days
  • Drug Enforcement Administration required upon hire
  • Valid Driver’s License required upon hire - MN and WI residents must obtain a valid driver’s license in their state of residence within 60 days of employment for those working in Complex Care for Seniors, Community Palliative Care and Hospice

Nice To Haves

  • New graduates may be considered.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in family practice or internal medicine
