About The Position

VitalCore Health Strategies (VCHS), an industry leader in Correctional Healthcare, is seeking a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner for the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution in Wilmington, DE. This role focuses on ambulatory care within a correctional environment, providing basic medical services under the supervision of a licensed Physician. The Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and security officers. Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited college/university NP or PA program
• Must possess current licenses or certifications in this state of Delaware
• At least 1 year Experience in Correctional desired but not required or at least 3 years of NP experience in a non-correctional environment
• Acute care experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the medical model to meet a variety of healthcare needs with ambulatory care as their primary focus.
• Works with a variety of healthcare professionals/security officers in a correctional environment to provide basic medical services.
• Provides basic medical services supervised by a licensed Physician.
