About The Position

This is a full-time position for a Family Nurse Practitioner responsible for providing primary care to patients of all ages. The role involves performing physical examinations, utilizing medical equipment, ordering and administering diagnostic tests, and communicating results to patients and families. The practitioner will serve as a leader on the Medical Care Team, collaborate with referring providers, and use data to drive high-quality, evidence-based, and cost-effective approaches.

Requirements

• Master’s degree Required.
• Certified as Nurse Practitioner
• Active and Unencumbered Louisiana Nursing License
• Prescriptive Authority issued by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing
• Peer References.
• Must agree to Credential and Privileging Requirements.
• Comprehensive knowledge of primary care in outpatient settings.
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of modern d as related to public health organizations and community health programs, as well as current social and economic problems pertaining to public health and their impact on primary health care.
• Knowledge of the policies and procedures of a clinic sufficient to direct its operations and to provide effective patient care.
• Knowledge of the principles and practices of employee development sufficient to ensure organizational productivity.
• Must be cognizant of the prevalent stressors and their impact on both the professional provider and the patient populations in the clinic setting.
• Knowledge of computer programs and applications.
• Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision-making to achieve clinic’s mission.
• Skill in analyzing situations accurately and taking effective action.
• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees, policy-making bodies, third-party payers, patients and the public.
• Skill in organizing work, delegating and achieving goals and objectives.
