About The Position

MercyOne Genesis Cancer Care is seeking an oncology-experienced Nurse Practitioner to join its growing, collaborative team-based cancer care program. This full-time employed position is based primarily in Davenport, Iowa, with coverage at the Clinton, Iowa, and Silvis, Illinois, clinics as needed. The team includes four physicians, two nurse practitioners, and experienced clinical and non-clinical staff. The program provides innovative treatments, technology, educational resources, and coordinated services including radiation oncology, infusion resources, genetic testing, surgical intervention, clinical trials, tumor boards, dieticians, and cancer navigators. The position supports patient- and family-centered care, treatment, education, and support in a community-based hospital program.

Requirements

• Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an unrestricted license to practice in both Iowa and Illinois.
• Current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications consistent with scope of practice.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Candidates who do not meet the stated oncology experience requirements will not be considered.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 1 year of oncology experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Alternatively, minimum of 3 years of oncology RN experience with current Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN®) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide collaborative, team-based oncology care and treatment.
• Provide coverage at the Clinton and Silvis clinics as needed.
• Prescribe and administer medications consistent with scope of practice.
• Support patient and family care, education, and support.
