About The Position

At NorthBay Health the OB-GYN Nurse Practitioner supports the Center for Women’s Health practice in providing low risk antepartum, intra-partum and postpartum care, pre-conception, family planning, routine gynecology, and well woman care. The OB-GYN Nurse Practitioner will provide routine prenatal care to pregnant women from point of entry into care through the immediate post-partum period. The OB-GYN Nurse Practitioner will conduct physical examinations, prescribe medications including controlled substances and contraceptive methods, order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests. The OB-GYN Nurse Practitioner will include health promotion, disease prevention and individualized wellness education and counseling. Patient care is provided under the direction of a supervising physician within the Center for Women’s Health.

Requirements

  • OB-GYN Nurse Practitioner experience
  • Ability to provide routine prenatal care
  • Ability to conduct physical examinations
  • Ability to prescribe medications including controlled substances and contraceptive methods
  • Ability to order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests
