Part-Time Nurse Practitioner
About The Position
Shoreline BHS, a 501c3 non-profit agency, is seeking a part-time nurse practitioner (NP) with prescriptive authority to provide services to clients of Shoreline Behavioral Health System (SBHS) in a clinical outpatient setting. Assisting people who are struggling, through the lens of harm reduction and evidence-based approaches, will help combat the overwhelming addiction problem in our area. Duties to include substance use disorder examinations, physical and mental status examinations, and medication management, including psychiatric medication management and medication assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder (OUD) and alcohol use disorder. This position may occasionally be a part of clinical trials in partnership with MUSC.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited nurse practitioner program.
- Ability to practice as a licensed nurse practitioner without limitations in South Carolina.
- 1+ year of experience required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the psychiatric mental health field.
- Experience providing services to clients with substance use disorders.
Responsibilities
- Conduct substance use disorder examinations.
- Perform physical and mental status examinations.
- Manage medications, including psychiatric medication management.
- Provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder (OUD) and alcohol use disorder.
- Potentially participate in clinical trials in partnership with MUSC.
