About The Position

Harrison County Hospital is hiring a Nurse Practitioner for HCH Gynecology to provide advanced women’s health care in alignment with Indiana scope of practice and applicable collaborative agreements. The role supports timely access to gynecologic services and consistent, patient-centered clinical decision-making. The weekday clinic schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. The Nurse Practitioner reviews appointments, recent results, and EMR messages; conducts patient visits; coordinates plans of care with physicians and clinic staff; responds to patient questions; and ensures follow-up items are completed. The role also includes reviewing documentation, confirming orders and referrals are tracked, and preparing for upcoming clinic needs.

Requirements

BSN required.
Current Indiana NP licensure.
Minimum 3 years of NP experience in gynecology.
Proficiency with EMR systems.
BLS/ACLS certification.
Strong communication, counseling, and documentation skills.

Nice To Haves

MSN preferred.
Board certification in Women’s Health (AANP/ANCC) preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct gynecologic examinations.
Perform Pap smears and colposcopy.
Manage contraceptive care.
Document accurately in the EMR.
Deliver clear patient education and counseling.
Review the day’s appointments, recent results, and EMR messages.
Coordinate plans of care with physicians and clinic staff.
Respond to patient questions and ensure follow-up items are completed.
Review documentation for completeness and confirm orders and referrals are tracked.
Prepare for the next day’s clinic needs.
