This is an Independent Contractor (1099) opportunity through OpenLoop. We’re looking for someone who can commit 20–25 hours weekly, split between up to 15 hours of live patient consultations and 5–10 hours of asynchronous tasks. To maintain consistent patient coverage, at least 10 of your live consultation hours must be completed between Friday and Sunday. Come and join the #1 rated PrEP provider in North America, Freddie! Our team provides empathetic, stigma-free, and client-centered care for those seeking preventative care through PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) and DoxyPEP, as well as treatment for those living with HIV. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to reducing health disparities within diverse populations, including those in the LGBTQ2IA+ community.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in Nursing and Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner diploma
• Active Nurse Practitioner licenses in at least 10 states, including at least one of the following key states: TX, FL, CA
• 2+ years of experience in primary care
• Experience providing virtual healthcare
• Excellent communication skills and empathetic care delivery
• Experience working in HIV Prevention and/or with the LGBTQ2AI+ community
• Consistent availability for asynchronous patient care tasks (lab reviews, prescribing, follow-ups) and up to 15 hours weekly for scheduled shifts, including live consultations. Task volume may vary based on state licensure and patient needs

Responsibilities

• Delivering inclusive, expert, virtual care through scheduled synchronous consultations through our virtual care platform
• Leading comprehensive initial assessments for those seeking preventative or HIV care, including but not limited to: history taking, risk assessment, and psychosocial evaluations
• Providing comprehensive sexually transmitted and blood borne infection (STBBI) prevention education to clients (with a focus on HIV prevention), including risk reduction strategies and behavioural counseling
• Championing health education and empowerment, helping patients understand their treatment options, navigate stigma, and take control of their wellness
• Providing asynchronous care to ensure timely and continuous support for patients, including ordering labs and diagnostics, interpreting results, prescribing medication, and clinical follow-up
• Maintaining accurate, detailed patient records in our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, using a wide variety of virtual tools to chart, prescribe, and connect with patients
• Collaborating with and acting as a resource for our team of Registered Nurses and support team members, helping to support end-to-end patient care
