About The Position

Crossroads Treatment Centers is hiring a permanent part-time Nurse Practitioner for its outpatient clinic in Winchester, Virginia. The role focuses on providing accessible, evidence-based medication-assisted treatment to patients with opioid use disorder and supporting their recovery. The position starts at approximately 17 hours per week, with the potential to transition to full-time. The proposed part-time schedule is Monday 9:00 AM–1:30 PM, Tuesday 12:30 PM–6:00 PM, and Thursday 9:00 AM–4:00 PM. A potential full-time schedule would add six hours in Harrisonburg on Wednesday and six hours on Friday.

The Nurse Practitioner evaluates and manages patients, prescribes appropriate medications and treatments, documents care, collaborates with clinic staff on holistic care and referrals, and performs injections. Crossroads provides malpractice insurance coverage.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner licensure and authorization to practice in the state of practice.
• Primary specialty in Family Medicine/Family Practice, Internal Medicine, General Practice, or Psychiatry.
• DEA Certificate of Registration in the state of practice, with ability to schedule medications in Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 4, and 5.
• Must have or be eligible for enrollment for Medicaid and Medicare credentials.
• Additional education or certification may be required depending on the state of practice.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in addiction medicine, preferably treating patients with opioid use disorder and/or providing medication for opioid use disorder.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with opioid use disorder in outpatient clinic settings.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments based on patient assessment.
• Complete medical documentation according to Crossroads standards.
• Collaborate with clinic staff to provide holistic patient care, including referrals to other medical providers and community services.
• Perform injections.
