Nurse Practitioner (NP)
About The Position
24/7 Occupational & Emergency Medicine Solutions is seeking Canadian Certified Nurse Practitioners (NPs) to work at a large mine in the Bathurst Inlet region of Nunavut. The NP will join a multidisciplinary team including Physician Assistants, Registered Nurses, Advanced Care Paramedics, and Primary Care Paramedics. The occupational health clinic receives remote support from a team of ER physicians. This role offers above industry standard compensation, fully covered flights, 24/7 on-call physician support, and a COR Certified safety program. The NP will practice within approved medical directives and formulary, with access to 24/7 on-call emergency medicine consultants. Prior experience in occupational medicine or advanced care in a remote setting is considered an asset.
Requirements
- Canadian Certified Nurse Practitioner (Required)
- Current CANNN registration in good standing (Required)
- ACLS
- BLS
Nice To Haves
- TNCC (preferred)
- Prior experience in occupational medicine
- Prior experience in the provision of advanced care in a remote setting
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site emergency / primary and occupational health services
- Assist with occupational injury / illness case management.
- Review pre-employment medical examinations.
- Provide occupational health surveillance services: audiometric, spirometry and respiratory fit testing.
- Provide drug and alcohol testing services.
