About The Position

This is a per diem role for a Nurse Practitioner to conduct one-time disability evaluations for veterans. The exams are not ongoing care, and the Nurse Practitioner does not treat, prescribe, or manage patients afterward. Exams are booked during business hours (8:00 AM to 6:00 PM). A key requirement is that the Nurse Practitioner must have their own office space within a 50-mile radius of Presque Isle, MI, as veterans will travel to this office for their exams. No clinic space is provided.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state where you will work
• Board certification
• NPI number
• Current ACLS and BLS
• Active DEA
• Your own office within 50 miles of Presque Isle, MI
• CV in month and year format

Responsibilities

• Examine veterans and record findings on standard disability evaluation forms.
• Conduct one-time evaluations, not ongoing care.
• Travel to your own office for veteran appointments.
