About The Position

Vibra Healthcare is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide primary medical care at Vibra Hospital of Southeastern Massachusetts, a 90-bed critical care hospital in New Bedford, Massachusetts. The hospital provides acute care to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries, including medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wounds, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation, and ventilator dependence. The role involves working in collaboration with hospital medical staff and in accordance with applicable state law, medical staff bylaws, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of employment.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from a Vibra-approved vendor.
• Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
• Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience working in a hospital or acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary medical care to patients in collaboration with the hospital medical staff and in accordance with applicable state law, hospital medical staff bylaws, and regulatory governance.
• Coordinate patient care and provide instruction.
• Assist with implementation of medical treatment plans established with the Physician.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned.
