Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved Master's of Science in nursing program.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

  • Performs trans-vaginal ultrasounds.
  • Responsible for follicular monitoring.
  • Responsible for post-op visits.
  • Conduct patient consultations.
  • Reviews laboratory results.
  • Starts, maintains, and discontinues IV lines.
  • Responsible for administering injections when necessary.
  • Prescribes medications and follows medication protocols.
  • Provides patient education and medication administration teaching.
  • Triages patient problems, questions, and concerns to the appropriate area.
  • Maintains factual and thorough health care records.
  • Communicates, reviews, and records all laboratory results.
  • Assists physicians with embryo transfers when necessary.
  • Performs transvaginal and abdominal follicular and prenatal ultrasounds.
  • Monitors and manages fertility treatment cycles under the direction of physicians.
  • Supervises all clinical nurses and medical assistants.
  • Participates in staff development, nursing conferences, infectious disease classes, and continuing education pertaining to area of expertise.
  • This position may also be responsible for performing other duties as assigned, consistent with the role and operations needs of the organization.
