Capital Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join their Student Health Center. This role involves performing physical assessments, documenting patient care, obtaining nursing histories, and identifying patients at risk. The Nurse Practitioner will consult with the interdisciplinary team, perform necessary procedures, and develop and revise patient care plans based on assessment findings. They will also order and review tests, discuss care plans with patients and families, and provide safe, therapeutic care. The position requires documentation of all patient care activities, contribution to performance improvement initiatives, and demonstration of effective communication skills. The Nurse Practitioner will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, serve as a change agent, coordinate patient care, and facilitate patient education. They will also act as a primary resource to the patient care team, lead quality improvement processes, recognize trends in patient populations, and assist in revising standards and guidelines. The role involves developing and revising patient education programs, participating in clinical research, recognizing behaviors that impact team function, and mentoring team members. The Nurse Practitioner will seek leadership opportunities, collaborate on educational plans, and demonstrate evidence of self-development through participation in educational programs and providing educational programs to staff.
