Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care RIPC MG
About The Position
Rhode Island Primary Care Physician’s Corporation (RIPCPC), the largest independent provider association of primary and pediatric care in Rhode Island, is seeking a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join RIPC Medical Group. This role is within a growing, clinician-led medical group focused on delivering high-quality, value-based care in a fully outpatient setting. The Nurse Practitioner will care for a diverse patient population across the full spectrum of primary care services, working alongside a collaborative team with strong clinical and operational support. This position offers the chance to utilize modern care models and technology within a mission-driven organization dedicated to shaping the future of community-based primary care. RIPCPC joined Akido Labs in 2023, becoming a key east coast hub for healthcare innovation within the Akido Care medical network, which is known for integrating innovative technology into healthcare infrastructure.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (required)
- Board certified as a Nurse Practitioner (FNP, AGNP, or related primary care specialty) (required)
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in Rhode Island
- Active DEA registration or eligibility to obtain (required)
- Rhode Island Controlled Substances Registration (CSR) or eligibility to obtain (required)
- Commitment to delivering patient-centered, value-based primary care (required)
- Strong clinical judgment with ability to manage a broad range of primary care conditions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Comfortable working in a team-based, technology-enabled care environment

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care to patients across the full lifespan
- See 16–20 patients per day in a 100% outpatient setting
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care aligned with value-based care principles
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and care teams to coordinate care and improve outcomes
- Practice in collaboration with physicians in accordance with Rhode Island regulations, including consultation and referral as appropriate
- Manage an assigned patient panel, including preventive care and chronic disease management
- Participate in care coordination and quality improvement initiatives
- Utilize EMR to document care and manage patient records
- Perform in-office procedures based on experience and scope of practice (optional)
- Provide after-hours call coverage for your patient panel (shared model may be available)
- Engage in team-based care and contribute to a supportive, collaborative practice environment
