Nurse Practitioner – Hematology/Oncology – Full Time – Hudson Valley Medical Group
About The Position
The Nurse Practitioner will be part of the Oncology care team ensuring excellent care and services are provided to in-patient hematology/oncology patients with respect and compassion. There will also be some out-patient coverage as needed. Practice the art and science of evidence-based nursing at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Lead the charge in improving the patient care experience. This position is a full-time, 40-hour role, scheduled five days per week. There is a future possibility of transitioning to a four-day, 10-hour schedule. The role will support both inpatient and outpatient services. Schedule and hours may vary based on operational needs and may include weekend rotation. All roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
Requirements
- BSN
- Master's degree in Advanced Practice in area of specialty
- Current NYS RN license
- Current NYS NP license in area of specialty
- BLS through the AHA
Nice To Haves
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team
- 2+ years experience as a Nurse Practitioner
- National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the area of specialty
