Nurse Practitioner (NP)- Part-Time
About The Position
The Parker Jewish Institute for Healthcare and Rehabilitation is seeking a Part-Time Nurse Practitioner to join their Medical Department. This role involves delivering compassionate and quality medical care to assigned residents, working alongside experienced Medical leadership. The Nurse Practitioner will report to the Medical Director or the supervisory Attending Physician. Key responsibilities include examining residents in various settings (subacute, long term, rehab, outpatient), assisting with resident/patient/family education, and modifying care plans as necessary, including maintaining proper documentation in resident charts. The Parker Jewish Institute is a non-profit health care facility offering inpatient programs and community health services.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner program
- Active license as an NP in New York State, with prescriptive privileges
- NYS Board Certified is required
- Proficient in SigmaCare or another EMR (Electronic Medical Record) software
Nice To Haves
- Two (2) or more years of experience in a sub-acute or long term care facility
- Prior experience with the geriatric population is a plus
Responsibilities
