Nurse Practitioner - Hematology/Oncology
About The Position
The Nurse Practitioner will provide inpatient hematology and oncology care in a hospital setting in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This locum tenens role has clinical-only coverage from January 11, 2027, through April 12, 2027. The caseload is 11–16 patients per day across all ages, with benign and malignant hematology cases. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The practitioner will collaborate with support staff and physicians and must be comfortable working unsupervised on solids. Hospital privileges are required, with temporary privileges available. The credentialing timeline is 60–90 days. The facility uses EPIC.
Requirements
- Active Minnesota license; IMLC accepted.
- PA or APP certification required.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum experience with hematology patients, including benign and malignant cases.
- Comfort working in an unsupervised setting on solids.
- Hospital privileges required.
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient hematology/oncology care as an APP (NP or PA).
- Manage a patient census of 11–16 patients per day.
- Work Monday through Friday day shifts from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Collaborate with support staff and physicians.
- Handle benign and malignant hematology cases.
