About The Position

Sheridan Community Hospital is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to support our Wound Care Clinic on a PRN basis. This role is ideal for experienced providers seeking supplemental income, flexible scheduling, or part-time clinical work in a supportive environment. Our providers play a vital role in improving access to specialty services for rural patients. The Nurse Practitioner provides specialized outpatient wound care, managing acute and chronic conditions while collaborating with supervising physicians. This role offers clinical autonomy and the opportunity to directly influence patient healing and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Master's or Doctoral degree as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Active Michigan NP license with prescriptive authority required
  • Current national certification required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS – AHA) required

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of Nurse Practitioner experience preferred
  • Experience in wound care or chronic disease management preferred
  • Ability to work independently in a rural clinical setting
  • Strong clinical judgment and patient-centered care approach

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive wound care assessments

  • Develop and implement treatment plans
