About The Position

Harrison County Hospital is hiring a part-time Nurse Practitioner, Women’s Healthcare to deliver advanced, evidence-based women’s health care consistent with Indiana scope-of-practice requirements and the applicable employee agreement. This position supports safe, patient-centered services across the lifespan, with careful attention to clinical documentation and care coordination. Key responsibilities include performing comprehensive assessments, establishing diagnoses, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing clear patient education/counseling. Care delivered will routinely address prenatal care, family planning, STI screening, and menopause management, with timely, accurate EMR entries. The daily clinic rhythm involves scanning the day’s roster, recent labs, and messages, then moving through scheduled visits with a consistent pace—prioritizing clear patient dialogue, real-time EMR updates, and smooth handoffs with nursing and providers. As gaps open, you’ll address results, refill or triage requests, and close loops on orders and follow-up plans. Before leaving, you’ll finalize documentation, send needed communications, and set up the next clinic day.

Requirements

  • BSN required
  • Active Indiana NP license
  • National WHNP certification
  • Minimum 3 years of RN clinical experience
  • Minimum 2 years of NP experience in women’s health/OB-GYN
  • Proficient with EMR systems and clinical documentation
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and treatment-planning skills for women’s health patients
  • Knowledge of prenatal care, family planning, STI screening, menopause management
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent patient counseling skills
  • Excellent team collaboration skills
