Join us in making a real difference in the health of our community. We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our growing Urology team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care for individuals with acute and chronic urologic conditions while collaborating closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Requirements

  • Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current New York State Nurse Practitioner license.
  • Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP), or Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP).
  • DEA registration and New York State prescriptive authority.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Excellent communication, clinical decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (eCW preferred).

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Urology experience preferred; candidates with strong experience in surgical, primary care, internal medicine, or specialty practice may also be considered.
  • Experience managing BPH, urinary incontinence, kidney stones, hematuria, urinary tract infections, elevated PSA, erectile dysfunction, and other common urologic conditions.
  • Familiarity with cystoscopy assistance, urodynamics, catheterization, and post-operative management.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume outpatient environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical histories and physical examinations.
  • Diagnose and manage a variety of urologic conditions under established clinical protocols.
  • Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Perform office-based procedures within scope of practice, including catheter management, bladder scans, and other urologic procedures as appropriate.
  • Assist with pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and preventive care.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with New York State regulations.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain current knowledge of evidence-based urologic practices.
