About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our growing Urology team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care for individuals with acute and chronic urologic conditions while collaborating closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Requirements

Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
Current New York State Nurse Practitioner license.
Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP), or Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP).
DEA registration and New York State prescriptive authority.
BLS certification required.
Excellent communication, clinical decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
Experience with electronic medical records (eCW preferred).

Nice To Haves

Prior Urology experience preferred; candidates with strong experience in surgical, primary care, internal medicine, or specialty practice may also be considered.
Experience managing BPH, urinary incontinence, kidney stones, hematuria, urinary tract infections, elevated PSA, erectile dysfunction, and other common urologic conditions.
Familiarity with cystoscopy assistance, urodynamics, catheterization, and post-operative management.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume outpatient environment.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical histories and physical examinations.
Diagnose and manage a variety of urologic conditions under established clinical protocols.
Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Perform office-based procedures within scope of practice, including catheter management, bladder scans, and other urologic procedures as appropriate.
Assist with pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and preventive care.
Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with New York State regulations.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain current knowledge of evidence-based urologic practices.
