About The Position

This role involves leading and supervising a team of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, providing clinical leadership, and ensuring high-quality patient care. The position includes limited direct patient care, focusing on psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals, training and development of team members, and participation in quality improvement initiatives are key aspects of this role. The role may require floating to different locations and frequent travel.

Requirements

• Licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a valid license.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Psychiatric NP.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong clinical knowledge in mental health assessments and medication management.
• Ability to lead by example and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be self-motivated, organized and have great attention to detail.
• Ability and willingness to travel.

Nice To Haves

• Previous nursing home experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Director with oversight of a team of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, providing clinical leadership and support.
• Ensure the highest quality of care through ongoing case reviews, mentorship, and clinical guidance.
• Provide direct psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients with mental health conditions.
• Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and foster a positive work environment.
• Mentor and train other Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, ensuring professional growth and adherence to best practices.
• Help implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
