Nurse Practitioner Resident

HealthPoint Careers•Tukwila, WA

About The Position

HealthPoint’s Nurse Practitioner Residency Program is designed for newly graduated Family Nurse Practitioners committed to serving diverse and underserved populations. The program begins September 15, 2025, and is a two-year contract: the first year is the residency program, followed by a year of full-time practice. HealthPoint is a Federally Qualified Health Center serving communities in King County. The residency’s community-health-center care model combines training, supervision, and support to help residents become confident, skilled primary care providers and transition to sustainable, independent practice. Residents provide comprehensive primary care to patients across the lifespan. Training includes continuity and partnered clinics, specialty rotations, educational programs and didactics, procedure training, and an independent project intended to improve patient health or the healthcare system. Residents also participate in shared call, staff meetings, agency committees, and other required activities. They provide evidence-based care, consult with other healthcare professionals as appropriate, maintain timely and accurate records, and counsel and educate patients and families. The position requires a Master of Science in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice, graduation within 18 months of the program start date, and Washington State RN and ARNP licensure, DEA and controlled-substance credentials, and Family Nurse Practitioner board certification by the program start date. The listed annual salary is $103,211.54 for the first year and $139,994.90 for the second year. Benefits-eligible employees receive health coverage, retirement benefits, paid time off and holidays, wellness resources, and professional-development opportunities.
