About The Position

Improves the overall health of the communities we serve by coordinating and facilitating program activities that contribute to the success, efficiency, and effective day-to-day functioning of the CHAS Health Nurse Practitioner Residency Program (NPRP). This role serves as the primary on-site coordinator for the NPRP, partnering daily with clinical, operational, and program leadership to support residents, preceptors, and clinic teams. The coordinator maintains a regular physical presence in assigned clinic(s) and works with the Program Director to support residents in practice, identify operational and workflow challenges, and facilitate problem-solving. They also coordinate resident recruitment, onboarding, clinical rotations, and didactic sessions, acting as an on-site workforce liaison to enhance the resident experience and retention. Additionally, the role involves organizing meetings, developing relationships with stakeholders, representing the NPRP at events, consulting on templates, coordinating program evaluations, and facilitating the reaccreditation process. The position also supports other Learning and Development activities and performs other duties as assigned in support of the CHAS Health Mission, Vision, and Core Values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare administration or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare industry preferred.
  • Experience working with training and residency programs preferred.
  • Driver’s license and insurance required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required.
  • Computer skills required.
  • Excellent organization and follow-up skills required.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality required.
  • Ability to work under tight time constraints, handle high pressure, and manage changing priorities required.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the primary on-site coordinator for the NPRP, partnering daily with clinical, operational, and program leadership to support residents, preceptors, and clinic teams.
  • Participates in daily morning huddle organized by clinic operations leadership, reinforcing the huddle practices outlined in the Team-Based Care Playbook non-negotiables.
  • Maintains a regular physical presence in assigned clinic(s) and works with Program Director to support residents in practice, helps identify operational and workflow challenges in real time, and facilitates immediate problem-solving.
  • Coordinates resident recruitment and onboarding processes in collaboration with operations and Talent Acquisition teams, including interviews, orientation, onboarding logistics, and patient panel ramp-up.
  • Serves as the on-site workforce liaison to enhance the resident experience and retention, providing direct support and shadowing as needed to ensure successful engagement and performance.
  • Coordinates clinical rotations and didactic sessions, ensuring seamless scheduling and resident engagement.
  • Organizes, schedules, and attends all in-person NPRP meetings, including core team meetings, preceptor meetings, evaluations, and required program sessions; ensures action items are captured and followed up on.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with residents, preceptors, clinic leaders, and staff through visibility, responsiveness, and trust-building, addressing questions, concerns, and coordination needs promptly.
  • Represents the NPRP as a program ambassador at in-person and virtual job fairs, community partner meetings, and events.
  • Consult with operations and clinic leadership to help standardize resident and preceptor templates that optimize patient access and clinic flow.
  • Coordinates program evaluations and surveys, including distributing tools, tracking completion, summarizing trends, and presenting findings to program leadership; creates surveys when needed.
  • Facilitates the NPRP reaccreditation process, including planning, documentation, timelines, and coordination of on-site and virtual site visits.
  • Supports other Learning and Development activities as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned in support of the CHAS Health Mission, Vision, and Core Values.
