About The Position

This position supports both the general inpatient care of non-critical pulmonary patients and outpatient ambulatory practice patient sessions. The role involves treating and evaluating patients, administering advanced nursing care in a pulmonary specialty under the direction of a licensed physician. Responsibilities include performing a wide variety of patient care activities, including diagnosis and prescription of medical therapeutics or corrective measures in collaboration with a physician.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree Nursing Required
• Master's Degree Nursing Required
• Multi State Compact RN License or PA Cert Reg Nurse Practitioner Required
• PA Registered Nurse License Required

Nice To Haves

• 1 year experience in a clinical specialty practice
• 2 years experience as a nurse practitioner
• Prescriptive Authority

Responsibilities

• Treats and evaluates patients
• Administers advanced nursing care in a particular clinical specialty area under the direction of the licensed physician
• Performs a wide variety of patient care activities including diagnosis and the prescription of medical therapeutics or corrective measures in collaboration with and under the direction of the licensed physician
• Supports general inpatient care of non-critical pulmonary patients
• Supports outpatient ambulatory practice patient sessions
• Provides after-hour calls & weekend & holiday coverage, as needed
• Provides inpatient coverage and on-call weekends once in four weeks (rotating with other providers)
• Provides weeknight call rotation
