Pulmonary Medicine - Nurse Practitioner
About The Position
Carle Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our growing Pulmonary Medicine Team in Urbana, Illinois. This position involves joining a team of seven Pulmonary physicians and three advanced practice registered nurses. The typical schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. The role focuses on providing healthcare with an emphasis on disease prevention, health promotion, health maintenance, and supportive care. Responsibilities include ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic studies, seeking consultation with other health team members, coordinating multidisciplinary care, and providing and discussing treatment options with patients and their families. The position encompasses hospital rounding and consults, as well as clinic time located adjacent to the hospital and at other Carle locations.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Nursing
- Current Illinois registered nurse license and advanced practice nurse licensure
- American Heart Association BLS
Nice To Haves
- One year of APRN clinical experience is preferred
- Consideration for nursing in critical care or procedural care units
