Nurse Practitioner, Psych PMHNP - Los Angeles Older Adults ACT
About The Position
As a senior member of the clinical team, the Psych Nurse Practitioner provides direct psychiatric care and medication treatment to members served, in addition to the recovery focused treatment plan developed and delivered in concert with the multidisciplinary team. This is a part-time, 32 hours per week position, with working hours from Monday to Thursday, 8 am to 5 pm, and is an onsite role. Telecare's mission is to deliver excellent and effective behavioral health services that engage individuals in recovering their health, hopes, and dreams. Telecare continues to advance cultural diversity, humility, equity, and inclusion at all levels of our organization by hiring mental health peers, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, veterans, and all belief systems. The Older Adults Prevention and Early Intervention (OAPEI) program provides culturally-competent mental health services to older adults age 55+. An Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team of two Full Service Partnerships (FSPs), one serving the Long Beach area and another serving Southeast Los Angeles cities, for individuals who suffer from a serious mental illness. The program currently provides services to 106 members.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Science and an advanced degree in a healthcare science as required by the State Licensing program
- Minimum of one (1) year of full-time experience, or its part-time equivalent, working in a program serving persons with mental disabilities
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Board Certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner in the State of practice
- Active DEA and Furnishing licenses
