About The Position

West Coast Wound & Skin Care is a mobile wound care company providing services to patients in their homes and facilities. The organization is seeking Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to provide advanced wound care in the Topeka, Kansas area. Clinicians travel locally to patient homes and skilled nursing facilities. This is not a remote position. No prior experience is required; the company provides extensive training and 24/7 support.

Requirements

Current Kansas state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
CPR certification.
Effective communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Valid driver’s license and at least the state-required liability auto insurance.
Ability to travel locally and drive to patient homes and facilities in the Topeka area.

Responsibilities

Select, order, and perform tests and procedures to best treat patients.
Perform wound care procedures appropriate to each patient’s plan of care.
Define and document patient diagnoses.
Ensure patients are satisfied with their care.
Provide patient education and management.
Safely debride wounds using various methods during patient visits.
Apply topical wound care and other wound management products.
Document findings and treatment courses in patient charts, including follow-up notes.
