About The Position

We are seeking a skilled, efficient, and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic urgent care team. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, acute episodic care to patients of all ages, ranging from infants to geriatrics. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong clinical decision-making skills, and is comfortable working independently or in a collaborative team model.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Master’s program or Physician Assistant program.
• Active and unrestricted license to practice in the state.
• Current national board certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA).
• Active DEA license, state controlled substance registration, and NPI number.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in urgent care or emergency medicine.
• Comfort treating pediatric patients down to 6 months of age.
• Certification as an FMCSA Medical Examiner (DOT physicals) is highly desirable.
• PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat acute, non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries.
• Perform minor surgical procedures including laceration repair, suturing, incision and drainage, and splinting.
• Order/interpret laboratory tests and EKGs.
• Prescribe medications and treatments utilizing appropriate prescriptive authority.
• Maintain efficient room-to-room times while ensuring comprehensive documentation in the EMR.
• Identify emergent medical issues and safely coordinate transfers to emergency departments when required.
