About The Position
Piedmont is recruiting for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Piedmont Atlanta Emergency department working on a PRN basis. Ideal candidates will be able to work 4-5 shifts a month working mostly evenings, from 4p-2a and comfortable seeing an average of 20 patients per shift.
Requirements
- 2 years working as a PA/NP within emergency medicine or urgent care setting
- Masters, Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited PA program and National Board Certification --or-- Licensed as a Nurse and approved to practice as a NP by State of Georgia with National Certification
Responsibilities
- Work in a fast-paced environment under the supervision of emergency department physicians
- Provide patient care as needed to groups and individuals, including reading radiographs and dispensing medication
- Communicate with patient, family and other health care team members.
- Utilize EMR system entering and maintaining appropriate documentation and dictation
- Stay up to date on patient care diagnosis and treatment, current methodologies and techniques of practice.
