About The Position

Piedmont Healthcare is recruiting a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Piedmont Pulmonary and Sleep office in Buckhead. This is a full-time outpatient position focused on pulmonary and sleep medicine patients. The provider functions independently in a busy office, with physicians available to assist in evaluating complex patients as needed.

Requirements

• For Physician Assistants: graduate from a Physician Assistant program and hold a current license from the Georgia State Composite Board.
• For Nurse Practitioners: graduate from a school of nursing, hold a current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing, and have a Master’s degree in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations, write progress notes, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures, including chest X-rays, chest CTs, pulmonary function testing, and sleep studies.
• Explain the necessity, nature, and results of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to patients.
• Provide ambulatory care in a Pulmonary and Sleep office.
