About The Position

Henry Ford Health is hiring a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive adult cardiology care in a 50/50 inpatient and outpatient setting at Henry Ford Health Jackson. This full-time position is open to new graduates and offers mentorship from experienced cardiologists. The role has no operative or surgical responsibilities and does not require on-call coverage.

In the outpatient setting, the clinician conducts pre-operative cardiac clearances, manages hospital follow-up appointments and post-discharge care coordination, performs same-day heart appointments with patient flow triaged by registered nurses, and provides general follow-up care for established patients under cardiologist supervision. The role also supports continuity of care and patient education.

In the inpatient setting, the clinician rounds with cardiologists on hospitalized patients, conducts follow-up consultations to support adherence to established care plans, and collaborates with the cardiology team on clinical decision-making and patient management. The position is 40 hours per week on the day shift, with weekend coverage approximately one in four weekends. Travel between two locations about five miles apart is required one to two times monthly on the same day. Work locations include HF Jackson Hospital, HF Cardiology Jackson, HF Cardiovascular Medicine - Hillsdale, and HF Cardiology Jonesville.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Physician Assistant (MSPAS/MPA).
• Current state licensure or certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• DEA.

Nice To Haves

• Intensive Care Unit (ICU) clinical experience.
• Prior cardiology experience.

Responsibilities
