NURSE PRACTITIONER/PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT-CARDIOLOGY

About The Position
The Cardiology Advanced Practitioner provides patient care at Union Medical Group’s cardiology practice. The role includes expert assessment, personalized treatment, and monitoring to support patients’ cardiac health, while providing compassionate, high-quality care to the Wabash Valley communities. The position collaborates with physicians and supports patient education, self-care, and independence. This is a full-time position, 80 hours per pay period, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited MSN or PA program.
- Must have an Indiana RN license.
- Must have an active APRN/CSR license or be eligible for the licenses.
- BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the physician to determine patients’ needs.
- Complete routine physical assessments using common assessment skills in a systematic manner.
- Contribute to plans of care for predefined patient problems.
- Respect patients’ rights, including the rights to be informed, privacy, confidentiality, and refusal of care.
- Assist with patient education to promote self-care and patient independence.
- Follow company policies and procedures and department protocols.
