About The Position

UMass Memorial Health is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its Department of Dermatology at the University Campus in Worcester, Massachusetts. The role provides care for a diverse patient population in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, APPs, nurses, and support staff. It combines direct outpatient dermatology care with technology-enabled inbasket management and virtual patient care. The full-time schedule consists of eight sessions: four onsite outpatient clinical sessions and four sessions for inbasket management and virtual patient care. Remote work may be used for inbasket and virtual-care responsibilities, with onsite time expected as needed for team integration and collaboration, particularly during onboarding. Candidates must reside locally or be willing to relocate to Central Massachusetts to support scheduled onsite clinic responsibilities. The APP evaluates, diagnoses, and treats a range of general dermatologic conditions and uses the Epic electronic medical record to manage patient messages, pathology and laboratory results, medication refill requests, prior authorizations, and follow-up care. The position is within an academic health system with access to subspecialty expertise and resources. The hiring range is $129,819.98–$185,000.00 for a 40-hour weekly schedule; final compensation varies with scheduled hours, experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant certification.
Eligibility for Massachusetts licensure.
Experience managing outpatient dermatology patients and electronic inbasket responsibilities.
Must reside locally or be willing to relocate to support scheduled onsite clinic responsibilities.

At least two years of dermatology APP experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of general dermatologic conditions.
Manage patient messages, pathology and laboratory results, medication refill requests, prior authorizations, and follow-up care through Epic.
Provide virtual patient care and manage electronic inbasket responsibilities.
Collaborate with dermatologists, APPs, nurses, and administrative staff to deliver patient care.
Attend scheduled onsite outpatient clinical sessions and support team integration and collaboration as needed.
