About The Position

Sanctuary Functional Medicine's primary mission is to serve mankind by restoring a multitude of chronically ill so that they may live healthier, more abundant lives. Once those broken lives are healthier, we want to keep them and their other family members healthy through our functional primary care program. This functional primary care program serves as a sanctuary for those who have recovered from various chronic illnesses as well as for others who, though now healthy, want to stay healthy for years to come.Our functional Direct Primary Care offers them the best of natural and conventional medicine outside the broken insurance and Big Medicine system. As a care provider, you will begin and end each day energized by the fact that you are part of a solution to help people regain their health and maintain it. Additionally, you will participate in developing a functional primary care practice. Our long-term goal is to build an institute where we can offer a variety of care levels to meet our patients’ functional health needs.

Requirements

  • Board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Completed or started training in functional/integrative medicine.
  • Strong passion to excel in the field of functional medicine.
  • Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License in Tennessee and board certification.
  • 5+ years of experience providing primary care, including in-person care.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Desire to thrive in old-fashioned relational medicine with a high-growth, high-tech, close-knit work environment.
  • Tennessee License Required.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of clinical practice post-residency.
  • 2+ years of experience practicing functional medicine.
  • IFM/A4M/MAPS/SAFM or comparable certification in functional medicine.
  • Passion for your personal health and wellness, and that of others.
  • Additional License in KY or AL.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside our current Physician Assistant in our new functional primary care facility.
  • Take 30 to 40 new patients per month into their panel.
  • Provide six to seven hours of patient care per day, three days per week.
  • Dedicate one half day per week for lab review, additional patient communication through secure portal, record review, and team meetings.
  • Provide periodic weekend on-call phone availability.
