About The Position

West Coast Wound & Skin Care is a full-service mobile wound care company that provides services and treatments to patients in their homes. The organization focuses on whole-patient health, responsive communication with partner agencies, and training and continuing education for its medical team. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will provide mobile advanced wound care to patients in homes and skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), traveling locally within a designated region serving the Deming, New Mexico area. Candidates must live in or around Deming and be willing and able to drive to patient locations. This is not a remote position. No prior experience is needed; extensive training and 24/7 support are provided. The role is part-time, two days per week, and classified as 1099.

Requirements

Hold a current New Mexico state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
Be CPR certified.
Have effective communication skills.
Have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Have a valid driver's license and at least the state-required liability auto insurance.
Be willing and able to travel locally and drive to patient homes and facilities in the Deming area.

Responsibilities

Select, order, and perform tests and procedures to best treat patients.
Perform wound care procedures as appropriate for each patient's plan of care.
Define and document patient diagnoses.
Ensure patients are completely satisfied.
Provide patient education and management.
Safely debride wounds using various methods during patient visits.
Apply topical wound care and other wound management products.
Document findings and the course of treatment in patient charts, including follow-up notes.
