About The Position

The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in Pulmonary at Temple Faculty Practice treats and evaluates patients and provides advanced nursing care in a clinical specialty area. The position performs a wide range of patient care activities, including diagnosis and prescription of medical therapeutics in collaboration with and under the direction of a licensed physician.

The role contributes to a safe, therapeutic environment centered on the needs of patients, caregivers, and others, demonstrating concern for patients’ privacy, comfort, and emotional state. Patients are treated in a caring, ethical, and professional manner, with consideration for age, race, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, socioeconomic background, and culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
• Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
• PA Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner credential.
• Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• Multi-State Compact RN License, or the listed alternative indicated by the posting.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of experience as a nurse practitioner.
• One year of experience in a clinical specialty practice.
• One year of outpatient/ambulatory experience.
• General experience in an EPIC environment.
• Prescriptive Authority.
