About The Position

Works with the Palliative Care Consult Service at TUH Main Campus. Treats and evaluates patients and administers advanced nursing care in a clinical specialty area. Performs a wide variety of patient care activities, including diagnosis and prescription of medical therapeutics in collaboration with and under the direction of a licensed physician. Contributes to a safe, therapeutic environment centered on the needs of patients, caregivers, and others, demonstrating concern for patients’ privacy, comfort, and emotional state. Treats patients with consideration of age, race, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, socioeconomic background, and culture in a caring, ethical, and professional manner.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
• Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
• PA Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner credential.
• Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License.
• Basic Life Support.

Nice To Haves

• 2 years of experience as a nurse practitioner.
• 1 year of experience in a clinical specialty practice.
• 1 year of outpatient/ambulatory experience.
• General experience in an EPIC environment.
• Prescriptive Authority.
