About The Position

West Coast Wound & Skin Care is a mobile wound care company providing services to patients in their homes. The company is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide advanced wound care in the Tucson, Arizona area, including visits to patients’ homes or skilled nursing facilities. This is an on-the-road, non-remote position that requires local travel. No prior experience is required; extensive training and 24/7 support are provided.

Requirements

Current Arizona state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
CPR certification.
Effective communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Valid driver's license and at least the state-required liability auto insurance.
Willingness and ability to travel locally to patient homes in the Tucson area.

Responsibilities

Select, order, and perform tests and procedures to best treat patients.
Perform wound care procedures as appropriate to each patient's plan of care.
Define and document patient diagnoses.
Ensure patients are satisfied with their care.
Provide patient education and management.
Safely debride wounds using appropriate methods during patient visits.
Apply topical wound care and other wound management products.
Document findings and treatment courses in patient charts, including follow-up notes.
