About The Position

Piedmont Heart Institute is recruiting a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for its Acute Care Services team at Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, Georgia. This is a full-time night position providing inpatient cardiology care. The provider will work alongside physicians and other Cardiology Advanced Practice Providers in a collaborative team. Piedmont Heart Institute offers cardiovascular services including electrophysiology, transplant, advanced heart failure, critical care, interventional, surgical, and research services.

Requirements

For Physician Assistants: a master's or bachelor's degree from an accredited PA program and national board certification.
For Nurse Practitioners: be licensed as a nurse and approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner by the State of Georgia, with national certification.

Responsibilities

Assist in the evaluation and treatment of cardiology patients in an inpatient setting.
Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations, and record data in patient records.
Write progress notes, consults, admissions, and discharge summaries.
Prepare patient workups.
Order and schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as direct patient care services are delivered.
Work collaboratively with physicians and other Cardiology Advanced Practice Providers.
