About The Position

LCMC Health Physician Services is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our established Urology practice in Marrero, Louisiana. This provider will work collaboratively with physicians, clinical staff, and support teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered urologic care in an outpatient setting. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced or newly graduated APP who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care while practicing within a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • Master's or Doctoral Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (for NP candidates)
  • Current Louisiana Registered Nurse (RN) license (for NP candidates)
  • Current Louisiana Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license (for NP candidates)
  • Current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner (for NP candidates)
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program (for PA candidates)
  • Current Louisiana Physician Assistant license or eligibility for licensure (for PA candidates)
  • National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification required (for PA candidates)

Nice To Haves

  • Prior urology, surgical, primary care, or specialty clinic experience preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and patient education skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, obtain medical histories, and conduct physical examinations
  • Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic urologic conditions under established protocols and collaborative agreements
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic testing results
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
  • Respond promptly to patient calls, messages, and clinical concerns
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
  • Coordinate patient care and collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and specialists
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical team meetings
  • Promote patient safety and adherence to infection prevention standards
