About The Position

Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their Urgent Care Department. This full-time position (1.0 FTE) involves practicing at multiple clinic locations across San Diego County. The role offers a collaborative environment with strong clinical support, including lead RNs, triage RNs, LVNs, dedicated operations teams, and a 1:1 provider-to-MA ratio. The integrated EPIC EMR system promotes seamless communication. The department operates 365 days a year from 8 am to 8 pm, with no overnight shifts. Practice will encompass a wide spectrum of emergency-based medicine, including headaches, abdominal work ups, chest pains, laceration repairs, I&D, dislocations, and eye injuries. Each site is equipped with in-house lab, radiology, and pharmacy services. Opportunities exist for performing various office-based procedures within a collaborative practice with experienced physicians and APPs.

Requirements

Minimum two (2) years of full-time NP/PA experience in emergency medicine or high-acuity urgent care required.
Active, unrestricted California NP or PA license required.
Current board certification in applicable specialty required.
Comfortable practicing independently and managing a broad spectrum of urgent and emergent conditions.

Nice To Haves

Five (5) years experience in emergency medicine or high-acuity urgent care preferred.
