About The Position

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, working independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. APPs provide health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age as noted in the age-related category and area of expertise. This position requires a high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others. The role is in a fast-paced, acute walk-in care setting across multiple sites including Virginia, Duluth, and Superior, Wisconsin. New graduates are welcome to apply.

Requirements

Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing or master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
Current NP/PA licensure in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Current certification in CPR.
National certification, in applicable area.
Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
Ability to work 10-hour days, every third weekend.
Experience in Urgent Care or Family Medicine is desired.
