About The Position

MVHC is growing and has an immediate opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Urgent Care Team! This position is 100% outpatient only and offers the opportunity to work with a well-established team consisting of physicians, mid-level providers, licensed social workers, RNs and LPNs. It is in close proximity to a community hospital for easy access to additional services, utilizes Epic EMR, and has no call requirements.

Requirements

  • Master of Science in Nursing or Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies
  • NP Certification or Ohio Physician Assistant License
  • CPR Certification

Nice To Haves

  • One to two years of clinical experience preferred
  • Supervisory experience a plus
  • DOT Certification is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintains privacy and confidentiality at all times
  • Supports change and participates in activities to promote organizational development
  • Reviews and complies with MVHC policies and procedures related to regulatory standards (HFAP, OSHA, HIPAA, etc.)
  • Demonstrates actions and behaviors that consistently contribute to the safety of all (i.e., incident reporting, hazards, and infection control management, etc.)
  • Positively and appropriately accepts direction and contrastive input from Leadership
  • Completes appropriate documentation within the specified timeframe
  • Follows proper technique in assisting and preforming procedures
  • Recognizes and reports signs of abuse or domestic violence
  • Displays ability and uses critical thinking skills to set priorities for patient care, self, and others
  • Conducts and/or coordinates daily rounds with physicians
  • Submits incident reports, evaluations, anecdotal notes, informal and formal counseling’s by deadlines and/or in a timely manner
  • Adheres to all MVHC’s policies and procedures fully cooperating with the MVHC Compliance Program
